Born and raised in Germany and educated in the United States, I have finally settled down in Israel, where I work for The Times of Israel, a new Jerusalem-based current affairs website. Before joining The Times of Israel as diplomatic correspondent, I was a reporter for Haaretz English Edition-IHT.

I am graduate of Columbia University's School of Journalism and have published articles in The New York Times, New York Daily News, Chicago Tribune, Jerusalem Post, Hamburger Abendblatt, Juedische Allgemeine and many other newspapers and magazines. I live with my wife Marie-Paule in Jerusalem.
